Freight Wreck at McConnellsville
The local freight bound south on the R.W.&O. Saturday evening, met with a serious disaster when about one-fourth of a mile from the McConnellsville station. The trouble was caused by the drawhead pulling out of a car and the end dropping down on the ties. It raised the car off the track and three cars following were badly broken up and contents scattered along the track. Fortunately no one was hurt. The wreckage was not cleared away until midnight. Passengers on trains north and south bound were transferred.
